DAY 1: YANGON ARRIVAL

Our tour guide and driver will be waiting for you at Yangon International Airport. They will warmly welcome and take you to the hotel. Let’s learn to say Mingalarbar (Hello).

Enjoy the afternoon sightseeing tour to Kyauk Htat Gyi Pagoda that is known for the 70m-long reclining Buddha statue. Thereafter, the expedition will go on to Royal Lake situated in Kandawgyi Park where you can meet many Burmese people, especially around twilight. From this spot, it’s scenic to watch Karaweik Hall in the design of a royal barge. Furthermore, contemplate the incredible gold-encrusted Shwedagon Pagoda from afar.

Without a doubt, Yangon City Tour cannot be complete without a visit to the legendary Shwedagon Pagoda – the major Buddhism venue in the city. DAY 2: YANGON – BAGAN (B)

After breakfast, you’ll take a transfer to the Airport for a domestic flight to Bagan – an ancient city filled with thousands of the pagodas and temples. As the largest temple city in the world, Bagan preserves numerous 11th-13th-century religious attractions, and we’ll focus on the most outstanding ones. The Bagan temples sightseeing tour will shower you with opportunities to witness the century-old stupas, the Burmese culture in local workshops, and the mighty Irrawaddy River.

Our first target is Ananda Temple, one of the most revered and best-preserved temples in the city. In a peaceful landscape, the temple represents a splendid masterpiece of the Mon architecture that will definitely win your compliments. The on-foot expedition will continue to some other 9th-14th-century monuments around the corners. As a living museum, Bagan can surprise guests from one temple to another. Also, take your time relishing the countryside scenery and watching the locals’ life activities.

Together with the temple sightseeing, the package will also please you with the real-time experiences in local workshops to see how people produce beautiful lacquerware and wooden items.

OPTIONAL SUNSET CRUISE: USD8/PASSENGER (NO COCKTAIL)

By signing up for the Sunset Cruise Tour, you will be taken to the jetty to embark a private wooden boat. You can sit on the open deck to watch the marvelous riverscape in the sunset while cruising downstream Irrawaddy River. DAY 3: BAGAN (B)

By signing up for the morning Hot-air Balloon Ride, you will get up early to join this exciting aerial tour. When you’re above the Bagan land, cherish this precious sightseeing opportunity to view the ancient temple city from the top, the sunrise over Irrawaddy River and numerous antique stupas. No words can fully describe the excitement of this balloon ride.

You will have breakfast in the hotel. Get on the car for a drive to the dynamic Nyaung Oo Market in which you witness how the locals sell and buy goods. Next, go to see a great monument in Old Bagan which is the 11th-century Shwezigon Pagoda. After the religious visit, there will be time for a pleasant walking in the local village and some other less-known monuments around the corners.

What’s more, find joy in a horse-cart ride to the mid-12th-century Thatbyinnyu Temple, the gigantic brickwork of Dhammayangyi Temple, and the elegant Sulamani Temple. Also, contemplate the majestic sunset view.

DAY 4: BAGAN – HEHO – INLE LAKE (B)

After breakfast, enjoy the 1-hour drive transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Heho. Upon your arrival at Heho, there will be another scenic 1-hour drive to Nyaung Shwe village. There will be some stopovers at the rural workshops to see how the Shan paper and umbrellas are made. Later, Nyaung Shwe town welcomes your discovery of its monasteries, houses, and tea shops.

After the initial expedition, be ready for a motorboat trip on the stunning Inle Lake. The to-see highlights are the floating gardens, fishing canoes, stilted houses, unique leg-rowing fishermen, and Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery, which are all worth sightseeing and photographing. In the next hours, your boat will arrive at the significant Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda that enshrines five gold-encrusted Buddha statues. The boat adventure will also focus on a lotus-silk-weaving village, a cigar-making workshop, blacksmiths/silversmiths, and boat builder. In the late afternoon, the boat will take you back to the hotel.

DAY 5: INLE LAKE – INDEIN (B)

After breakfast is the discovery of the morning market in the lake. You should expect to meet the Burmese natives who are trading goods in a vibrant atmosphere. Next, pack for the 1-hour boat trip downstream a canal toward the western shore of the lake to reach Pa-Oh village of the Indein. Roam around the village, and then ascend to the top of the hill, from which you can pay respect to the sacred Buddha image as well as the enthralling panorama. You might want to do homage to the mysteriously moss-covered stupas.

On the return voyage, if possible, you will visit the Intha heritage house to listen to the history and culture of the Intha – indigenous people in the Lake.

DAY 6: INLE LAKE – HEHO – YANGON DEPARTURE (B)

Enjoy breakfast in the hotel prior to the drive to Heho Airport for a domestic flight back to Yangon. Upon your arrival, get ready for your international flight if any (guide and car in Yangon are not included).
